Zabrze Comprehensive System of Social Services for Senior Citizens

and the FORUM Social Cooperative
A project for people who are unable to look after themselves, people with disabilities aged 60 and over, and local residents
from Zabrze and the surrounding area provides:
- Access to care services,
- The option to use support services,
- The opportunity to take part in Senior Club activities – with the support of a carer or assistant.
As part of the Senior Citizens’ Club programme (twice a week), general fitness classes will be held, with a meal provided for participants:
- computer classes (including using the Internet);
- fitness activities (including yoga)
- cultural education activities (including trips to the cinema and the theatre)
- psychological and family counselling
- legal advice
- creation of a self-help group among senior citizens
Project participants are required to pay a fee representing the minimum personal contribution required for the project, which comprises a contribution towards the employment of assistants for people with disabilities within the project and participation in the Senior Citizens’ Club. Participants using the services of an assistant
and for the Senior Citizens’ Club activities organised as part of the project, participants are required to pay a fee
a minimum fee of 3.80 zł per day of classes.
