The aim of the project being carried out by the MOST Association is to increase the effectiveness of non-governmental organisations working in the field of ESF support by piloting the establishment and launch of a coalition of non-governmental organisations.

We intend to achieve this by:

  • Building on the support provided by the agreement, to strengthen NGOs involved directly or indirectly in the Human Capital Operational Programme (PO KL) and to encourage a wider range of organisations, particularly those in rural areas, to take on this challenge.
  • We want to help improve the coherence of the organisation’s activities and cooperation in areas covered by the ESF.
  • To enhance the capacity of NGOs in the area of dialogue and the facilitation of local cooperation, in particular with local authorities, in areas supported by the ESF.
  • Facilitating dialogue between NGOs and IP/IP2.
  • Preserving the mission and identity of organisations undertaking projects under the Human Capital Operational Programme.

Between 2007 – 2013, the vast opportunities arising from the possibility of applying for ESF funding to implement a wide range of projects create a need for organisations to prepare for long-term tasks, the management of substantial grant funds, and sectoral and cross-sectoral cooperation.

We classify the agreement as a thematic one, aimed at developing individual potential through group activities (seminars, training courses, workshops and meetings). The benchmark is the capabilities of NGOs under the Human Capital Operational Programme (POKL), with an emphasis on effectiveness in both application and implementation.

Based on our experience, we believe that another very important aspect for the agreement will be to consider the changes taking place within NGOs involved in ESF projects. This part of the agreement’s output will be useful for NGOs that are considering applying to the ESF or do not see such an opportunity.

All interested NGOs involved in the project will receive support from experts, in particular advisers and the project coordinator.

Project duration: September 2008 - February 2010
